<p>There are a variety of reasons why a bride might prefer not to plan her own wedding. Perhaps she is a medical student without a moment to spare. Or maybe she started the planning, but found it to be too stressful. Then of course, there are some women who simply do not have the wedding planning gene. If you want a beautiful wedding, but flipping through bridal magazines and picking out bouquets just bores you to tears, that&#8217;s okay. In some relationships, it is the guy who is more detail oriented and organized. If that sounds familiar, maybe you should let your fiance handle the wedding planning.</p>
<p>Now you may think, uh-oh, if the groom is in charge of the planning, what will the wedding be like? Do you picture groomsmen in tuxedo t-shirts, kegs of beer, and catering by the Hooters girls? Don&#8217;t worry, that is not what we are talking about here! (If that would be your groom&#8217;s dream wedding, then definitely hire a planner.) Many men are actually quite capable of planning a tasteful and elegant wedding.</p>
<p>The groom can do some of the planning, most or it, or even all of it. The third option means that pretty much all the bride has to do is show up and say, &#8220;I do&#8221;. Recruiting your fiance to make the wedding arrangements does mean giving up some control, and allowing him to to make independent decisions. It is not fair to expect for him to do all of the work without letting him have the fun of injecting his personality into the event.</p>
<p>One part of planning a wedding that interests all grooms is the food. When a man makes the reception arrangements, you can expect to have great food, a delicious cake, and a free-flowing open bar. If he is not as interested in details like centerpieces and bouquets, do not be concerned; that is why you hire a good florist &#8211; she will know what to do. Wedding professionals can take a few hints about your general style and taste, and take it from there to create something fabulous.</p>
<p>Even if she has left everything else to the groom, the bride will have to choose her own wedding gown. Most brides prefer to keep the gown a secret from the groom. <p>That said, some women like to include their groom in the bridal gown selection. There two common reasons why a bride would make this choice. The first is finances &#8211; if the couple is paying for their own wedding, sometimes that bride feels that any purchase as expensive as her bridal gown should be a joint decision. The more usual reason is that the bride wants to be absolutely certain that her groom loves the way she looks in her favorite gown before committing to it.</p>
<p>If you decide to allow the groom to see your gown, at least keep the final result a surprise from him. This means that after the dress has been selected, he should not be involved in the accessory decisions. Once you add a beautiful veil, a sparkling tiara, and fabulous bridal jewelry, you will be transformed from a woman in a lovely dress to a real bride. Pick a bunch of double pouch folders, clean page protectors, zippered purse, divider tabs &amp; pages. Place a bookmark at the top of each section. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Wedding show season is in full swing and most brides will be excited to do the rounds and check out all the vendor booths. But &#8211; if you&#8217;re not prepared, these shows can be exhausting, confusing and chaos!</p>
<p>We&#8217;ve attended many of these shows and have seen brides walking aimlessly from booth to booth. Their arms filled with flyers and business cards and their faces looking like they&#8217;re on information overload. But don&#8217;t despair &#8211; there is a way to get through it all and even have enough energy left to enjoy the highlight &#8211; the fashion show.</p>
<p>Check out our tips below and make sure you&#8217;re prepared&#8230;</p>
<ul>
<li>Check out the show schedule a few days before &#8211; as some of the featured events (like the bridal fashion show) take place only one time. You want to make sure you see this event/show first (before you hit information overload) before hitting the booths.</li>
<li>Plan to arrive early. The wedding vendors will be excited to meet you and give you their information. If you wait until later in the day, they are likely to be exhausted from repeating their presentation over and over again for the past 5 hours!</li>
<li>Make a note of the type of vendors you want to interview. This will ensure you actually make a point of visiting exactly who you need to see &#8211; instead of aimlessly wandering around tasting wedding cake although you&#8217;ve already ordered the cake!</li>
<li>Take a large bag to place all the info and goodies in.</li>
<li>Don&#8217;t go alone. Take either your finance or a friend. If you&#8217;re not technical you may want to take a man or techie with you to do the &#8220;tech talk&#8221; with the DJ&#8217;s, Photographers and Videographers.</li>
<li>Take a few sheets of pre-printed address labels. You&#8217;ll use them to stick on the vendors sign-in sheets. This will save you from writing the same info over and over again. Be sure to only include the information you want to give out. I&#8217;d suggest including your name, phone number, email address, date of wedding and wedding location.</li>
<li>Walk down each isle and check out only the vendors on ONE side at a time. This will save time and help you stay organized.</li>
<li>Some vendors will offer &#8220;Show Specials&#8221; be sure not to commit to anything on the show day just because you want that cool discount/upgrade. You&#8217;ll need a few days to go over all the information &#8211; so ask them to honor the special rate for a few days (and get this in writing).</li>
<li>Be sure to check out a large selection of the vendors work &#8211; not just what they hand you at the show. Every vendor will showcase their best work &#8211; so check out their websites and look for a large demo sample. Look for customer testimonials too.</li>
<li>Don&#8217;t plan to attend more than one show each weekend &#8211; too much information!</li>
<li>Beware of pushy vendors. A great high quality vendor will not need to be pushy as their products/work will stand out and sell themselves.</li>
<li>Enjoy yourself! Most brides will attend several wedding shows before their wedding so make it a fun day out and find the perfect vendors for your big day.</li>
