Why might a bride run away from her wedding, if she loved her fiancee?

We have to answer weird questions for my creative writing class, and this was one of them.

If an engaged woman slept with other men because she felt she had not had enough experience, would she continue that behavior after she is married? Does the fact that she let her husband know the truth after getting married mean she is less likely to do so?

My fiance and I are getting married on June and would like to announce our engagement to our friends and family at an engagement party. Although the wedding will not take place in the country where we will hold the party. How do we invite people to the party excluding the wedding stuff like save the dates, wedding invitation, etc.? All we want is to host a party where all our friends and family can come and celebrate our engagement, but these people won’t be invited at the wedding itself since we’re only having a courtroom wedding. What does a bride typically wear to the reception? I have a feeling my friend is going to change from a really cute white-lace spring dress that she is using as a wedding dress, into jeans and a tee shirt!

Also is it common practice to offer promise ring? And should it look any different than an engagement ring?

And how old do you think they should be?

Say if two 20 year olds get engaged how long should they have dated vs two 30 year olds?

Just curious to see what some of your opinions are.

My cousin just got engaged so her parents are having them an engagement party. The wedding isn’t going to be for almost two years, and they don’t live together yet, so I wonder what type of gift do you give or do you even have to take a gift? I’ve never been to an engagement party before.

How much can one expect to pay for a Russian Bride these days? Has the recession helped bring down the price for one of these?

Is there a price difference if one is new or used? How can I tell if she is really Russian?

I am planning to propose to my girlfriend in Dec sometime and I need some advice. What do you think would be a good/sweet/romantic way to propose to someone. Please no rude or immature comments or answers.
