I say a few years at least. I would move in with him before marriage just so I really know how things would be. I have been with my bf over two years now and been living together about about two years. I don’t plan on marrying him for another year or two. I would kind of expect a promise ring soon just to show he does care and it will happen in are future. Also to show that he will be there for me and be faithful and all that good stuff.
I would date a person for three to four years before I accepted a proposal because anything less than two years you really don’t much about that person that’s just my opinion
I don’t think that there’s a right or wrong answer to your question. I think it just depends on the chemistry, how much time you two have spent together and during that time how much you’ve gotten to know one another.
You really have to be able to imagine the rest of your life with this person….being able to see yourself grow old and your relationship and friendship remain strong.
Check out the beautiful wedding band designs from Chris Ploof Studio. For a truly one-of-a-kind wedding ring, you'll want to consider Mokume Gane Rings, which uses an ancient Japanese metalworking process.
