I am not talking every now and again, but how many women do you think always wear their engagement ring along with their wedding ring?
I know my mother only wore her engagement ring when going out and what not, and wore her wedding ring other rise.
Do all women wear both or was my family just a-typical?

I always wear both. So do my mother and my sister in law (husband’s brother’s wife).
I have a friend who was never a big fan of her engagement ring; I see her quite often wearing only her wedding ring and no engagement ring.
It’s all about personal preference.

I used to wear both until after 25 yrs. of marriage when I got one ring that represented both engagement and wedding band. I kept the original diamond and added many more around it! There is no rule!

I have never heard of that… my wedding ring and engagement ring are being soldered together.

I wear it every day. It is a ring that was not supposed to be taken off. The only time I take it off is when I don’t want something nasty getting stuck in it.

I think it is a personal choice. You don’t have to if you do not want to but some people think it is nice. Almost every one that I know that are married do, and I am going to after my wedding, but you dont have too.

I have never heard of not wearing both why would you consider not wearing both they are call wedding sets for a reason they include engagemant and wedding ring supposed to be worn together

I don’t know anyone who doesn’t wear their engagement ring every day. That would be a lot of money to spend on something you only wear once in awhile.

It depends. My mom worked in an inner-city school, and therefor wore just her wedding ring (she’d wear the bling to church & if they went out). Also, I have a couple friends (one a nurse, the other a personal trainer) who only where bands because of their jobs.
I think the norm now-a-days is to wear them both, or have them sodered together though.

I don’t know anyone who doesn’t wear their engagement ring (except for one couple where they traded in the set for one ring to represent it all). It is just a personal preference.
Personally, I love my engagement ring and only take it off whenever I absolutely have to.

My mother wore her engagement and wedding ring 24/7 except when they had to come off for surgery & then she gave them to my father to hold until she was out of recovery and could put them back on.
49 years until death did they part.
I have a friend that it tuns out is allergic to the metal so can’t wear either – she with her husbands blessing had a pendent made out of the two so that she could wear them that way.
20+ years and still kicking

I can only think of one person that didn’t wear their engagement ring and wedding band together – - and that is because due to finances she didn’t have an engagement ring, her & her fiance opted for just wedding bands.

my engagement ring has the BIG rock and the wedding ring is a matching band. i totally wear both together

One of my friends travels a lot and only takes off her engagement ring when she is traveling. She wears her wedding band just so she doesn’t have to worry about losing her engagement ring in a foreign country.
