In Indian Telugu (Andhra pradesh) wedding What is the significance of bride and groom pouring rice on each others head(Thalambralu) during marriage?

I’m going to a wedding on my own (cousin’s wedding). I want to give the bride and groom a card with a personal check in it. (I’m not putting cash in the card because I want to make sure they actually do get the money).

At what point and to whom should I give the envelope with the card/check in it?

You know, the one that goes, dum dum da duh duh dum dum dum da da da dum dum dum.. Usually you see it played when the bride and groom are running out of the chapel to the car while everybody throws rice. I need to know the name of the song so I can find a hip-hop remix or get the music so I can make my own.

Need some games for an engagement party! It is a potluck and a pool party but I would like to play some games as well! The only game I have to far is "How well do you know the bride and groom to be?" which should be lots of fun but more games would be great!

I’m in the wedding party, but am unsure if I need to go find the places where the bride and groom are registered.

I guess I’ve heard of this before, but my husband and I didn’t do this, and most people I know didnt. My cousin’s getting married, and has spent WAY too much money on their wedding so far, and is now stressing over what to get for the bride and groom gifts….?! She said, "we’re only spending just 0 on each other"… I think it’s ridiculous, but is that just me? They had to take out a loan to pay for the thing to begin with…

The bride and groom are not on good terms with the groom’s parents. If the groom’s parents are invited to the wedding, the stress level will be off the charts for quite a few people. The grooms parents will be the "dark cloud" over everything. What should the bride and groom do?! Invite them to JUST the ceremony? Invite them to both the ceremony and the reception (out of…"kindness")? Or do not invite them at all?

Both bride and groom have the very common last name of Smith.

Im having my bridal shower this sunday. And I wanna play the game "how well do you know the bride and groom" Im having 20 questions total, 5 about the bride, 5 about the groom, then 10 about them as a couple. Ive already got the first ten, but what are some questions I can ask about us as a couple??

This is for my wedding cake. I already have a horse and carriage but it is only about 3" high but i can not find a bride agroom this small and it will look funny.
So if anyone knows somewhere i can get bride & groom this small that would be great! Otherwise i need a horse and carriage and would like bride and groom also.

Any help would be appreciated.
