My fiance and I are having a destination wedding with 40 guests, my mother is planning an engagement party and wanted to know if she could invite people who aren’t invited to the wedding? We are planning a post wedding party with all of our family and friends later on.
There are always a small percentage of engaged couples that don’t appreciate or understand the use of an expensive wedding photographer on their wedding day. They might be self-conscious or just don’t believe that an expensive professional wedding photographer will deliver better photos than a cheaper photographer.
Wedding photography is not just about taking a few pictures of the happy couple cutting the cake and family and friends catching the bouquet. Wedding photos will be the most important keepsake of this happy day which you will have for years to come.
Wedding photos should capture the mood, the love, the magic and the detail of your special day. An average wedding Photographer will take pictures of your day, but a good wedding Photographer will be able to capture every special moment as though you are reliving it over and over.
When you have a small budget for your wedding, you will try and cut the costs on every single detail. But ask yourself this question: Is it really worth cutting a few hundred dollars to save on your live long memories? The one expense that will be the difference between having photos you want to hide from family and friends or having individual original photos you would want to treasure for all of your live to come. There is a good chance that an inexperienced Photographer will not deliver the quality of photos that is to be expected from a wedding Photographer. That photos might not be the right exposure or composition, the Photographer might have missed irreplaceable moments or the photos might not reflect anything about your personality or style.
For the couple that is self-conscious or doesn’t enjoy having their photo taken, it is very important to have an experienced wedding Photographer. Good wedding Photography is an art that can only be perfected with time, experience and knowledge. An experienced wedding Photographer will deliver relaxed, unposed photos and will not let you stand in awkward poses or take too long with the photo shoot.
You want a Photographer that does his job quick and efficient and knows what to do and when to do it. You want someone that can disappear in the crowd but still get the most beautiful natural pictures from you as couple and your guests. Apart from the obvious quality in exposure and composition, a good wedding Photographer will concentrate on detail and story telling.
As soon as you get back from honeymoon, family and friends will want to see the photos of your special day. If you are not completely satisfied with your photos, it will be very disappointing if you have spend a lot of money to ensure that very detail of your wedding is perfect and then not have the quality photos to show for it
The best way to see the differences between an average Photographer and the best wedding Photographer is to meet with them, see their work and compare the prize. Once you have seen more than one Photographer in different prize ranges, you will get a good idea on their quality and differences. To make sure that you get the best photos for the amount you are willing to pay, there are a few things you can do:
Make an appointment to see a few wedding Photographers and compare the following critical details:
Prize of the package: What is the total amount that it will cost to hire this particular photographer. Costs should include the amount for the photos as well as transport costs, accommodation costs (if the photographer lives far from the venue and needs to sleep over)
What do you get for your money: Compare the quantity photos, the size of photos, and any extras such as an album and compact disc with photos.
Copyright: If a compact disc is included in your package, are you allowed to reproduce more photos and submit it to things like magazines and newspapers?
Duration: How long will it take the Photographer to edit and print your photos before you receive them? The popular photographers won’t necessarily take longer with your photos, because they have people working for them to ensure a speedy end product. I know people who used a cheaper photographer and ended up waiting 8 months for their photos.
Do you get along well with the Photographer: Does he understand what is important to you regarding your photos? This is important, because you have to let this person get close to you and follow you on the most special day of your live.
The fact of the matter is, we can not all afford the best and expensive wedding Photographers if we’re having a budget wedding. You do however have to do your homework and compare a few photographers to get the best deal.
We know how it feels to dream about a big, expensive & romantic wedding and not being able to have the budget for it. There are a lot of great ideas and products out there that can help you plan the wedding of your dreams. For more Budget tips and advise for your wedding day, visit http://bellsandbrides.com

It’s wedding season and with the economy in a slump it’s hard to justify spending a large amount of money on an elaborate ceremony. The best option for many engaged couples is finding affordable destination weddings that offer everything a traditional wedding does, but at a far off, tropical location.
People save for many years to be able to afford the wedding of their dreams. Nowadays, it’s hard to even find a local venue to host your wedding on the day you choose. Some places are reserved for years in advance and due to their popularity, cost a fortune. All for the same old wedding in the same old place that everyone else has been to.
Couples are taking a different route these days by choosing destination weddings that are far from ordinary. These weddings are beautiful ceremonies that include everything that your local wedding would include and much more.
The main appeal of a destination wedding is the affordability. The price of a wedding is largely determined by the number of people who will attend. By choosing wedding destinations that take a little more effort to get to, it will cut down the number of people attending by more than half. It’s simply more difficult for everyone to adjust their schedules around a wedding that is away from home.
With this reduction in the number of attendees comes the reduction in food and beverage costs, which are known to be very expensive. And even though there will be a lot of people missing that you would have hoped were there, you know your close family and friends will go anywhere they need to be to make sure they are part of your special day.
Another main area of savings with affordable destination weddings are the money you will save for a wedding planner and photographer. A wedding planner can cost thousands of dollars, but destination wedding packages will have everything included that a wedding planner would normally take care of. Food, flowers and the reception will be of the highest quality and will cost much less in places like Thailand or Jamaica.
A wedding photographer is a must have at any wedding. They are a professional service and can be quite expensive. This is yet another expense that you won’t have to worry about when taking your wedding abroad.
With any destination wedding package there will be a destination wedding photographer included in the price. This will be a local photographer that is highly skilled and will have a lot of experience shooting weddings. They will provide you with enough photos for you and your family to enjoy, a wedding album of the best pictures and a copy of the negatives for you make as many duplicates as you choose.
It’s not hard to find affordable destination weddings that well exceed expectations. With so many different locations to choose from, you’re guaranteed to find the place that is perfect for you. Take the time and work with a travel expert that has put together an amazing destination wedding package that matches your style. It’s an easy process that will save you a lot of money during these hard times.
Romance Travel Concierge offers everything from Destination Weddings to Babymoons. With a variety of exotic destinations to choose from, you can be sure that your romantic travel adventure will be one to remember for the rest of your lives.

My understanding is that it is a party arranged by the groom’s family, in the groom’s city, to celebrate the wedding and to introduce the bride to their family and friends. It is usually held 2 or 3 days after the wedding.
Few other people say its just another function which happens the same day of the wedding in the same venue where people can give gifts, etc , which in my thinking, is part of the wedding function itself, not a reception.
I know there are no strict rules but what is the usual procedure, specially in Gujarati weddings?
Have you ever thought that you can actually help your wedding photographer help you get fantastic photographs? Yes, you read that correctly. You actually have some control over how wonderful your pictures can turn out. And, by following the steps outlined below, you will know how to maximize your photographer’s potential at your wedding.
1. Create a detailed timeline of your wedding day. Nothing helps your wedding photographer out more than knowing exactly how your special day will progress. This allows your photographer to “be at the right place at the right time” and capture the moments in their best light.
2. Get the church rules. Your photographer needs to know if he/she will need to abide by any rules during your ceremony. There may be certain rules like no flash photography, as well as distance restrictions to the alter. If there are restrictions that prevent the photographer from getting up close shots, recreations of the ring exchange and first kiss can be planned and captured right after the ceremony.
3. Ask your wedding photographer to attend your wedding rehearsal. Once again, this preparation will help your photographer, especially if they have never photographed a wedding at your location.
4. Provide your photographer with a list of your “must have shots”. If you know there are some photographs that you absolutely must have, make a list and give them to your photographer. Don’t miss out on any priceless moments.
5. Gather together any wedding magazine images that you love. Found any beautiful images in a wedding magazine? Tear them out! Show your wedding photographer these images and ask if he/she can recreate the shot. If you have an engagement or bridal photography session scheduled, this could be a great opportunity to try it.
6. Clear the path for your photographer. Will you have family and friends who will also be photographing or video recording your wedding? It is wonderful to have so many people capturing your wedding, right? Absolutely! Just make sure that everyone is aware of your photographer and videographer. This means giving them enough space to navigate and shoot those must have moments.
Getting fantastic photographs is all about planning. The more information you arm your photographer with, the more prepared they can be. This does require a little extra work on your part, however, when you look back at your photographs you will be pleased that you did. Good luck!

When the love of your life proposes you, it can be the best feeling in the world. It is easy to get lost in the feeling of extreme happiness, but it is not long before you realize that everything needs planning.
At first couples tend to be slightly naive about the amount of planning that there is. However, once you start writing down everything that you will need to arrange, you soon realize that the steps for planning a wedding are actually quite stressful!
Following are the Steps for Planning a Wedding
- Planning the Venue
One of the major steps for planning a wedding is deciding where it is that you actually want to get married. Are you and your partner religious? Have you been married before? These factors will determine where you can get married as many churches will not let you remarry.
The venue should also be a place where all of your family and friends can get to. Many couples choose to get married abroad and that works well for them. However if you would prefer all of your friends and family to be there and you want a large wedding then getting married abroad may not be the best option for you. Once you have the venue sorted, it is then that you can move on to everything else.
- How Many People Are Attending the Wedding?
Another important factor which you will need to decide is how many people will actually be attending the wedding.
This is one thing that many people do not think about until it is too late. The truth is, you need to know how many people are attending so that you can sort everything else out. For example, how can you purchase a cake until you know how many people it has to feed? How can you sort out the wedding breakfast if you do not know how many people will be there? Wedding favors also need considering. The amount of people attending your wedding really does make a difference, so ensure that you think about it well in advance.
- What Is Important to You?
Another important step is to decide what is important to you. Every wedding should be unique and in planning your wedding, you should consider what you and your fiancé want. Do you want a big wedding? Do you want a traditional wedding? Do you want a fancy dress, a large wedding cake and plenty of flowers scattered around? What is important to you? Think about everything and write down what you want – after all it is your wedding day!
Overall the steps for planning a wedding are relatively simple. You just have to figure out what it is that you want and what is important to you and then everything else will easily fall into place.

Wedding invitation etiquette can be hard to learn, especially if you’re doing your wedding invitations for the first time without help. Here are some easy, spelled out rules for creating and sending your invitations to make the process easier.
General Invitation Etiquette
If your invitations are whimsical and unusual, the recipients may expect something out of the ordinary. If the invitations are formal, recipients will expect a formal affair. Invitations should be mailed six to eight weeks before your wedding. The etiquette you use when sending your wedding invitations can also set the tone for your celebration, so it’s important to follow a few special pointers for proper invitation etiquette. This will help to keep the peace among your family and friends so that you can enjoy your day without worrying about anyone being left out or offended.
Enclosures Etiquette
The response card is traditionally used for gathering totals for the caterer and getting a general number of guests attending. Save the date cards are not used as a substitute for the wedding invitation and typically mentions that an invitation will follow. Other pieces often included in the ensemble are the reception card or folder, map or direction card, and accommodation information. The recipient is asked to mail back the response card roughly two weeks before the wedding or by the date indicated.
Envelopes Etiquette
When addressing the inner invitation envelope, address it to the individuals you are inviting, ie. John and Mary Smith. Seal n’ send wedding invitations many times don’t come with envelopes. You fold and address them. If you ordered a seal n’ send that doesn’t have envelopes, you can usually order envelopes separately from the invitation company. Invitation envelopes can come in several shapes, sizes and colors.
Destination Invitation Etiquette
Stylized fonts can be used to convey the atmosphere you want to have at your wedding – relaxed, formal, or laid back. If you’re designing your own invitations, you have a wide range of latitude for choosing colors, styles, fonts, and envelope inserts that will beach your beach theme. If you’d like to have beach wedding invitations or photo wedding invitations, have them designed or create them on your own. This is a great way to make your wedding stand out from the other weddings your guests have been invited to so they are sure to remember your special day.
Homemade Invitation Etiquette
If you are very specific, and you do it in a kind way, people will be more likely to enjoy spending your wedding day with you. It’s understandable that you want to cut down on wedding costs, but don’t create any bad feelings by not being specific in your invitations. Whether you make your own invitations or have them printed by a professional printer, they should be high in quality and you should proofread them for printing so that embarrassing mistakes can be eliminated. If you have printed the invitations on your home computer, you can print the envelopes by using special calligraphic fonts.
Saving Money Without Losing Etiquette
Whether you use traditional invitation designs or come up with something whimsical of your own, you can save money by finding your wedding invitations online. In the past, wedding invitations had to be printed by a printer who charged a premium for engraving and other services. With the competition of wedding invitation businesses thriving, inexpensive wedding invitations are more easily found online. Invitations can be very costly for many couples unless they are aware where to look.
With these a snap rules, your wedding invitation experience should be easy and your invites should be mailed out without worry.

Wedding planning means working closely with your future spouse, having fun together, and making your love grow even deeper. This is a moment overflowing with romance and magic. However, this is not the feeling that you will always get when planning for your wedding. You need to make crucial decisions and consider tons of suggestions from your family and friends. You will also be dealing with different people that will become part of the wedding planning. It seems that you are likely to experience not just a magical feeling but also stress. It is difficult to make your wedding perfect so while planning, make sure that you do not lose your sanity over details.
In planning, you need to point every aspect of your wedding and think of the smartest way on how to come prepared in order to make your big day simply unforgettable. But where will you start? Before deciding, there are some significant facts you have to consider.
1. The date of your wedding is important. So you are the ones to decide about the things that you want. Be open for suggestions but remember that you and your partner are the only persons who will make the final decision.
2. Your wedding ceremony should not be tucked away by complicated festivities because the real reason why you are joined together will be gone. Bear in mind that your family and close friends are there to share that precious moment with you, so even without an elaborate gala, you and your guests can have fun during that magical time of your life.
3. Keep your wedding as simple as possible.
4. Cherish every moment. You will be able to do this if everything is kept simple and planned within your budget.
After considering the abovementioned factors, you can now start planning your wedding.
For almost any wedding, the target is to make this moment truly unforgettable. Hence, it is significant to adopt the right steps in order for your wedding to turn out smoothly and perfectly. Careful planning can also save you from losing your sanity over the wedding details.
o Delegate some of the tasks to somebody else. Involve your family members, hired professionals and close friends in making a wonderful wedding. Pass on some of your errands to them to avoid being stressed out when your precious day comes. Specify the tasks that you will delegate to a person plus all the deadlines. But do not bombard an individual with lots of responsibilities. For example, the fashion diva in your family can be the person in charge of the invitations and the wedding favors.
o Look for some wedding planning ideas through the Internet. There are lots of websites in the net that will give you helpful tips in planning your wedding.
o Get Organized. By organizing the things that you need, you surely wouldn’t end up wasting your money for the things that aren’t necessary. Organization lets you plan everything – from the major up to the smallest details – so the chance of having something done wrong is very small.
o Decide on Your Budget. Setting an amount of money to be spent for your big day is really important. Your wedding must be a happy and memorable event, but it shouldn’t put you or your family in debt.
o Choose your Wedding Theme – Pick the theme that reflects your personality and defines the kind of person you are.
o Decide who will be in the Bridal Entourage – After planning your wedding theme and your budget, choose the persons who will be involved in the wedding rites and the ones who be included in the entourage.
o Make a Guest List – talk about the number of persons that you want to be present during your wedding ceremony. Jot down the people that both of you want to invite. Narrow down your list by deleting those that are not in touch with you for years. Keep in mind that not all invited persons will be present at your wedding, so it is better to invite ten percent more.
In planning for your wedding, just keep this handful of tips in mind so you wouldn’t end up losing your sanity over the details of your matrimony.

Second marriages, or even third, are not uncommon these days, in fact four out of ten weddings are now second time around marriages and many brides are now choosing to step outside the traditional ceremony and look for a new and special way to begin their new relationship. After all you now know who you are and what you want and are no longer influenced by parents as you may well have been the first time you tied the knot.
So why consider a destination wedding:-
- A destination wedding in a romantic tropical location will be something totally different from your previous wedding and well away from ex-wife’s or husbands and locations associated with your past relationship.
- Destination weddings are generally much more informal and allow you to really let your imagination run wild. Hold the ceremony on a tropical beach with coco palms and the blue ocean as a perfect backdrop or amid the exotic flowers in a garden. Choose your own wedding vows to really personalize the ceremony and set your own theme for the whole event.
- Most destination wedding venues provide the services of a wedding planner or co-ordinator leaving you free of all the stress associated with planning your special day. You just arrive at your chosen resort with everything arranged for you so you are free to relax and enjoy the company of your guests who have joined you to celebrate the start of your new life.
- Frequently second weddings tend to be smaller more intimate occasions with a more select guest list of close family and friends. Those who really want to wish you well and do not harbour old or mixed feelings and want to join with you in celebrating the start of your new life and what better than to join you in a perfect tropical setting.
- Combining your wedding with a honeymoon surrounded by your close family, friends and often your children removes the need to organise someone to look after children while you jet off after the wedding leaving them behind.
- Where there are children involved, as there frequently are, the relaxed holiday atmosphere of a destination wedding helps to build relationships with the new family members. The children can be involved in the ceremony as ring bearers, flower girls, or ushers ensuring their participation in the beginning of the new family arrangements. Where the children are young most good destination venues will offer child care facilities ensuring you are able to enjoy those intimate moments with your new partner confident that the children are being properly cared for, looked after and entertained.
- Memories of your wedding day are there forever in the photographs and videos taken during the ceremony and reception by your wedding photographer and by your guests in a destination wedding location offers the most colourful and romantic settings possible for these treasured reminiscences.
Destination weddings were once upon a time only for celebrities, or the rich and famous, but with many countries, such as the Dominican Republic, easing the procedures for marriages for non residents there are now endless possibilities with many private villas and resorts offering destination wedding packages at affordable prices.
If this is your second chance at love and finding happiness for the rest of your life shouldn’t your celebrate in real style. You deserve the best and a destination wedding in a tropical paradise is the perfect way to begin your new life together.
