My fiance’ gave me a vintage style split shank engagement ring when he proposed, but I am having problems finding a band that works with the ring. The ring is already pretty prominent on my hand so I don’t want a band that overpowers my finger.

My fiance and I are bothe anti-diamond people and are looking for a good place to find and purchase a non diamond engagement ring. Anyone has any helpful suggestions?

Just curious. I’ve known my fiance for a year, we’ve dated seriously for 4 months. Were engaged 2 months ago. We casually dated 6 months before that.

My fiance and I are getting engagement photos done in the Fort Worth area but aren’t really sure of the best place to go. Any suggestions?

I’ve been engaged now for 1 1/2 years and unfortunately am not planned to get married for another 3 years when both of us finish our college education. This is out of wishes from both sides parents as well as from each other. Both of us still live with our parents, but still stay with one another a couple nights a week. I feel at times though this might feel weird to my fiance, living like this. Is this something to be worried about?

I am currently a soldier deployed in iraq. my fiance lives in west virginia. I want to make a special proposal to her since she never recieved the ring yet due to ordering. right now my parents have the ring in new york and i am having then put it in a bears hands and sending it to her. but thats not the only thing i want to do for her. wat else can i do?

My fiance and I are getting married on June and would like to announce our engagement to our friends and family at an engagement party. Although the wedding will not take place in the country where we will hold the party. How do we invite people to the party excluding the wedding stuff like save the dates, wedding invitation, etc.? All we want is to host a party where all our friends and family can come and celebrate our engagement, but these people won’t be invited at the wedding itself since we’re only having a courtroom wedding. My fiance recently bought my an engagement ring. It is white gold with a ruby center and 3 diamonds on each side. I love it has I have always wanted an engagement ring with a ruby center but some people have been very rude when they see it. They ask why he didn’t get a diamond instead and imply he is cheap. How should I respond to these people?

We are getting married in 10/2010 and my fiance and I volunteer in numerous fire departments and EMS agencies. We unfortunately can not invite everyone to our wedding but we want them to celebrate with us. Is there a way to invite people to our engagement party next summer but not the wedding? It will be a laid back atmosphere and we don’t want them to bring gifts, just to come and enjoy the day with us.
Please help, how do I make this happen??

My fiance and I are getting married in Mexico. She doesn’t want the rings soldered before the wedding, as she wants to wear her engagement ring until the day of and then add the wedding band during the ceremony. Is there a way (some kind of clasp or something) to keep the rings together while we are on our honeymoon, before we get them soldered together?
