It's important that when choosing your vintage wedding rings, they complement the engagement ring you bought for your partner. Often, well decorated vintage wedding rings may look good on but detract attention from the engagement ring so you may need to try a number of vintage wedding rings to see which suits it best.

The circular shape of your vintage wedding ring is a symbol of eternity and the lasting commitment that two people make to be with each other. Many customs actually view the giving of the wedding ring as the last in a number of gifts given to each partner. Some people have replaced this older custom with a more modern version where an ‘eternity’ ring is given to symbolize an everlasting marriage.

It is now becoming more popular to have wedding rings engraved so if you and your partner are buying matching vintage wedding rings, why not have them both engraved with a message personal to you both just to give them that unique feel. If you think the ring is too plain for you, then you could consider a beaded edge or an engraved style. Choosing your wedding ring is a personal thing so as long as you both agree, whatever you choose will be right.

You must never forget how important your vintage wedding ring and do not treat it like another piece of jewelry as it will not often leave your finger. Irrespective of the design of vintage wedding rings you finally decide on, do not accept anything but the highest quality. For something as important as your marriage, the vintage wedding rings you purchase should not be the ones you found at the lowest price because it makes a mockery of your vows and the meaning of the wedding rings.

Your expensive Vintage Wedding Rings should also fit perfectly so do not accept anything less as when you come to place them on each others fingers on the wedding day you may find they no longer look as good. To make sure your vintage wedding rings fit perfectly you will need the services of a professional jeweler to measure you and your partner’s fingers, which is something you can’t do over the internet. The last thing you want to happen is that the wedding rings are too tight and won’t go on, or so loose they won’t stay on the finger. Therefore it is important that you allow the jeweler enough time to complete your wedding ring order by your wedding day. Be sure that you go looking for your vintage wedding rings a few months before your wedding so the rings will be ready for your big day.

Don’t forget there is now more choice of styles for your vintage wedding rings that it may take you a while to choose. Both you and your partner should follow your instincts on your choice of vintage wedding rings while remembering that what looks good today might not be quite as fashionable in a few years time. The most important thing to remember is that your vintage wedding rings are symbolic of your everlasting love. This type of life changing statement means you should buy wedding rings that reflect this and that you will feel proud to wear.

There are many varieties of music to choose from out there. The good news is many couples are going with contemporary instead of traditional sounds, and that is perfectly ok in today's wedding plans

Music is without a doubt an essential part of any wedding ceremony. Just what effect or mood you want is up to your personal taste.

Some people like the traditional sound of the classics while others are more into contemporary, pop and cultural music. We will consider both of these ideas and look at the different mood each may capture.

Keep the big picture of what the ceremony and reception look like in your mind and then choose what type of atmosphere you would like to put forth. Also, an important reminder is deciding who or what will play the music The music is there to enhance the exchange of vows not the other way around. I have been to weddings where the vows seemed an after thought. So be careful to choose the appropriate type music and amount of music. Also bear in mind live music is an option not a must. Music on tape or CD will give you the luxury getting exactly what you want and it is less expensive than a band/orchestra etc…

The location you choose will probably set the tone in the first place. If you want a solemn church setting then the music you pick will preferably fit that venue. On the other hand an informal setting such as an outdoor affair will most likely dictate what music will be played, although this is not etched in stone.

The 4 main parts of the ceremony: the prelude, processional, interlude and recessional.

The prelude will set the stage and also let people know that shortly the ceremony will begin. Well chosen prelude music will also entertain your guests and should not be distracting. The prelude should begin

approximately 30 minutes before the time on your invitations.

The processional is special in that the bride enters to it and therefore should be different and somewhat louder so as to be distinguished from the other music. This part of the music can be as traditional or contemporary as you prefer. There are no rules here. A lot of people feel that Wagner’s “Bridal Chorus” is very appropriate here as it is the most traditional wedding march, but keep in mind that many brides choose non-traditional and very contemporary songs for this purpose so try to think outside the box or don’t think that is the only choice you have.

The interlude is just a fancy word for the music you have chosen for special moments you want to emphasize and songs that have special meaning to you and you fiance`. Again don’t fear non-traditional music here. My wife had a good friend sing “The Lord’s Prayer” while playing a guitar at our wedding. Just remember that any music that is played , you will have to stand there and listen, too.

Then after the ceremony you still have to walk out so usually the recessional is the same song as the processional. But again you needn’t adhere to tradition here, so you can have any song you want.

The reception is a horse of a different color so to speak, as far as the music goes. There are more and more couples having long receptions following the wedding ceremony. For many a live band is the only thing that will do, if your budget will stand it. If not, consider hiring a DJ. They aren’t cheap and they are all not the same so verify what their specialty is and make sure they fit your budget and taste. You don’t want to make a mistake here so be careful and take your time choosing a talented DJ, one that not only fits your taste but has a little taste themselves.

I hope this article has helped your wedding plans. Just remember, this is your wedding. Be open to suggestions but also don’t be afraid to put your personal touch on it with your musical choices.

A wedding ring or an engagement ring, quite in contrast to its size, seems to attract much importance and fanfare in a wedding or engagement ceremony. But size does matter when you wish to have a diamond studded wedding ring. And it becomes even more expensive if it is a designer wedding ring. Here's an article on everything about wedding rings and engagement rings.

Wedding rings are emblematic representations of the union between a man and a woman. And this is also true for engagement rings. An engagement is the initial step that eventually ends up in a wedding, at least the couples get engaged to get married in the near future. Thus, finding the perfect wedding ring could be a daunting task. Wedding rings are generally exchanged as part of the ceremony, normally as vows are uttered by both parties. Wedding rings are quite significant to a couple who have taken the decision to spend the rest of their lives together. The wedding ring almost acts like an official seal to of this agreement between the couple.

Wedding rings or engagement rings may be the smallest item purchased for the wedding or engagement but they have great significance. And sometimes wedding rings could get real expensive. This act of the couple is not just an indication of love between two people but everyone wants a ring that is made solely for them and as soon as you see it you will realize this. But it is always better to take time in choosing an engagement ring or wedding ring as it is something unique and it symbolize your commitment to each other in the years to come. If you are looking for nice and unique wedding rings, you just might not find them in your local shopping mall.

Generally local shopping mall jewelers may not have a variety of metals, fashions and finishes which you want or have in your mind. So it will be better if you straight away visit some designer jewelry stores that stores or stock a variety of fashions and different designs.

Mostly the metals that are used for these rings are white gold, titanium, silver and yellow gold and sometimes even platinum. Prices vary upon the metal and design you choose and of course, the budget is always a contributing factor but durability is an issue and that is why platinum is becoming so popular. In case of men, durability is a main contributing factor and that is why platinum is so effective.

The next most important thing after choosing a wedding or engagement ring is that the ring fits perfectly or not. Though it is always taken care by the by the jeweler to ensure there are no mistakes in sizing or fitting of the ring. It is just as important to ensure the ring is not so loose that there is a chance that it might be lost.

This wedding or engagement ring signifies the love and commitment for each other and such a noble commitment demands you buy ring that you will enjoy wearing for the rest of your life.

How can you tell if your choice of music was right for on the night.

Is it time to boogie now that the wedding service has been finalized with the exchange of the vows? Damned right it is. So what are we waiting for – Music Maestro Please?

Choosing the Proper Wedding Music can be a difficult task. Trying to please all will be hard because not everyone shares the same taste in music thus leaving you in an awkward situation. A sure way of achieving satisfaction is to hire a disc jockey. His or her collection of musical compilations will no doubt be unlimited so I am pretty sure all your needs will be serviced in the way of great music. The good thing about opting for recorded music is the fact that the guests can request their favourite songs.

A good DJ with experience on weddings will entertain in between breaks. Explain in fine detail before hand what music you would like played on the turntable. How can you tell if the guests are enjoying themselves, well that is easy, watch their dance moves If the foot work is similar to that of Michael Flatly doing the river dance then you have chosen the proper wedding music.

Another option for entertainment is to have a live band perform at the wedding. Depending on your place of venue you may need permission for this so be sure to check this out in advance.

There are many types of music to choose for your wedding. It is crucial that you select the right melodies and tunes because without a doubt it is the music that sets the mood and creates the atmosphere.

Contemplate during your wedding service to have a choir sing hymns accompanied by the church organist this can add an essence of ease among the guests and for the bride and groom.

Before booking a live band for the wedding, ask if you can listen to their music first. Also have a chat about the emcee duties.
Keep the music on going at all times with a little background music in between intervals. The reason for this is no one loves the dreaded silence when the music ceases to play.
If you like jazz then play jazz. Rock and roll is a guarantee for a successful night. Remember rock around the clock – now that is proper wedding music for any reception. When have you never seen a foot tap to Bill Hayley and the comets

A way of knowing that you did the evening justice is when the guests sing at the top of their voices to an extent where they overpower the music. This is an additional bonus because you now have karaoke putting and end to your special wedding evening.

A site that comes highly reccomended by past present and future brides for wedding essentials is http://www.party-organizing.com. Need to relax after all that wedding planning. Need to shape up for the special day http://www.want2yoga.com.

Destination weddings have become a staple over the last decade or so. As popular as they are, they do have some special unique considerations that all couples should keep in mind. This is the newest etiquette for destination weddings.

Destination weddings have become a staple over the last decade or so. As popular as they are, they do have some special unique considerations that all couples should keep in mind. This is the newest etiquette for destination weddings.

When you imagine your destination wedding, the first thing that likely springs to mind is the romance of walking down a sandy aisle, all decked out in a tropical style bridal gown and beach wedding jewelry. You and your beloved will exchange your vows while the surf gently crashes in the background, and dance the night away to the sound of steel drums as the sun sets over the ocean. Then you will get to cap off your beach wedding by having a romantic honeymoon, sipping drinks from coconuts each evening, wearing a sundress and pretty jewelry, as you and your new husband linger over long dinners while the sun sets over the ocean.

That is a beautiful vision, isn’t it? It is one shared by most couples who opt for a destination wedding, which certainly helps to explain their popularity. Okay, now let me share with you what most guests think when they are invited to a destination wedding: “Oh my gosh, this is going to cost me a bloody fortune!”. Followed by, “I am going to have to use up most of my vacation time on this wedding!”. If you are lucky, the third thought will be “That sounds very romantic, how nice for Bob and Sally”. This is why one must tread very carefully in the etiquette department when planning a destination wedding. What is the wedding of your dreams is also likely a major hassle for many of your guests.

The main thing to keep in mind when planning a destination wedding is how what you do and say will affect others. For instance, how many times have you heard a bride delightedly remark upon how much money she is saving by having a small destination wedding rather than a big blow-out at home? That is all well and good, except that while she may be saving money, her guests are likely to spend thousands of their own dollars flying to a remote destination and staying at a resort. You would do well to tell your guests that you chose a far-flung location for your wedding because it is so meaningful to you, not because it is cheaper, because it isn’t for them.

A very sticky subject with destination weddings is the guest list. Couples frequently decide to have a tropical wedding because they see it as a way to keep the guest list small. That can be great, but be sure not to mention that in front of anyone who might have expected to be invited if you had a hometown wedding. It can come across as very insulting. There is also the question of inviting family or friends whom you would love to have at your wedding but that you know cannot afford the trip. On the one hand, you may hurt their feelings if you do not invite them, but on the other hand, many people feel that a wedding invitation is an important social obligation, and they will move Heaven and Earth to attend, even if they truly cannot afford the trip.

One possible solution is to invite a very small core of family to join you for the destination wedding and then follow it with a larger reception at home. That way, no one feels left out, nor will they feel obligated to spend more than they can afford on your wedding. This can be a great solution: you get the small romantic beach wedding of your dreams, and those that care about you will still feel like they are a part of the celebration.

Guy writes on many subjects including travel, customs and society. SilverlandJewelry.com. Beach wedding jewelry is perfect for a destination wedding.

I have been married for almost 2 years, but deployed to Iraq for most of it. When I get home in the summer, I want to have a nice wedding or SOMETHING to make it official and so families can get together (we got married at the courthouse with no witnesses). We’ve had some issues in our marriage that has broken our original vows, and now that we’ve worked them out, we’d decided on this wedding/vow renewal. Is there a difference between the two? Can you set up a renewal the same way as a wedding, or do I have this thing totally backwards or something? (By the way, both of us are agnostic, if that matters)

When organising your wedding, it’s all a bit of a minefield especially when it comes to the photographs and photographer. You already have so many choices to make about your big day without having to think about whether or not you want your wedding filmed, have black and white prints, sepia prints, classic or modern style? Phew!

The best advice is to choose a photographer that has been recommended by someone. Ensure you see the wedding photographs of the couple who have recommended the photographer as their idea of great photographs may not be the same as yours. If it is not possible to have a photographer recommended then ask them to show you their portfolio. Looking at photographs shot by them will give you an idea of what their style is like. You also need to like the photographer you select. Now this may sound silly but actually wedding photographers are central to the wedding day and will be there for most of it. Why not request to see one in action? This will then help you decide whether or not you could get on with him/her on the big day. Good photographers are decisive, clear and professional; the good ones manage to round everyone up successfully without bossing wedding guests and without upsetting anyone.

When it comes to style, the best thing to do is to not pick one! Yes, that’s right, don’t pick one. The best wedding photographs are often a different style from the ones you thought would be the best. So, when you meet with your photographer say that you want a range of photographs. These are to include set ‘stiff’ posed photographs with various family members/wedding guests. In other words, ensure that you get the usual shots; Father of the Bride and the Bride, Bride getting out of the car, Bride and Groom saying vows, Bride and Groom with his family, Bride and Groom with her family, Bridesmaids, Bride and Groom with friends etc etc. These are so important and will form the basis of your wedding album. Also request some ‘arty’ shots e.g. black and white prints of your bouquet, the marriage certificate, the church, your wedding shoes, your dress hanging up etc etc. Why not also request some church shots in sepia to give them a gentle feel? When it comes to the reception, make sure shots are taken of the room before the guests enter. With even the most civilised of guests, reception rooms always look messy once people are eating, napkins are used, plates dirtied and glasses used. This is also an opportune time for that all-important shot of the cake too.

With regards to the rest of the reception, ask your photographer to take 1 shot of each of the tables with your guests. This will be a posed photograph and a great memento for your album. Later, the photographer can then take some random pictures of guests enjoying themselves. You could also put disposable wedding cameras out on the tables for your guests to take pictures of each other. Quite often, shots taken on these cameras are really liked by the bride and groom and end up in the album. If you can afford to keep your photographer into the evening, ask him to take lots of shots of people dancing, drinking, chatting and laughing. These ‘fun’ style pictures will give a really different twist to your wedding album.

So, in essence, try not to go for anything too rigid when it comes to choosing your photograph style; best to go for a range of styles, themes and colours for an album to remember. And, remember that you will only get one chance to get the photographs right so it’s one of those areas that you can’t really afford to cut back on.

A wedding is a wonderful occasion where two souls are united while taking vows to be together and for each other for the rest of their lives. This is why everything has to be done in ensuring that the wedding is as memorable as possible. And one that needs lots of thought and consideration is the selection of the bridal gown.

1. The complexion of the bride is the most important point to consider when choosing the bridal gown. Women who are on the fairer side should wear dark colors while women who are more on the dusky or dark side should use light colors. This is because a contrast in the color of the bridal gown tends to enhance the beauty of the bride.

2. Another point to look out for when choosing the wedding gown is to choose a gown that matches the color of the bridegroom’s attire and your hairstyle. This is because since both of you will be the center of the show, it proves to be wiser on your part to collaborate your colors so that you look both harmonious and stand out from the crowd. In addition to this, the color of the bridal gown has to match the jewelry you intend to wear for the wedding.

3. Of course, your budget is an important factor in choosing your wedding gown. If you have a tight budget, make sure that you first allocate a certain amount of money for the bridal gown and choose the gown that falls within this range. However if you have money to spend, you can always go in for any designer wear. There is a huge collection of designer wear available for you to choose from in malls and designer stores.

4. Instead of choosing a plain bridal gown, you can make your gown more special by choosing wedding gowns having traditional wedding embellishments. Examples of such embellishments are a bell shaped skirt with a lace skirting or perhaps a modern wedding gown made of satin and decorated with lots of frills. It is up to you to choose the right bridal gown for the wedding.

5. If you are having a theme wedding, you will also have to keep the theme in mind when choosing the bridal gown. This is because different theme weddings call for different types of bridal gowns. It will not look right wearing a modern fitting bridal gown at a traditional church wedding; so keep this point in mind when choosing your bridal gown.

6. If you find it a bit difficult choosing your bridal gown, you could use suggestions from friends and family. This is because some bridal gowns may look great on a magazine, but will not look good on you. In fact, if you can afford it you could contact a consultant who will be able to decide which gown fits your body and age.

7. Take the fabric of the bridal gown into consideration when choosing your bridal gown. It is better to wear light weight clothes in summer while silk or satin are preferable for winter season. Choose necklines that suit your figure too as the neckline and your jewelry are the center of attraction when you walk down the aisle.

Once all these 7 points are taken into consideration, you will end up with the perfect bridal gown for your wedding, which will make you the center of attraction in the function.

Destination weddings can be a beautiful start to a lifetime of joy with your future spouse. If planned properly, they can even be stress-free, or close to it! Here's what you need to know to choose that perfect location to host your destination wedding.

One of the biggest trends in weddings today is the destination wedding. This means the bride and groom travel to some romantic getaway where vows are exchanged. Depending on the couple, and their wedding budget, a destination wedding may also include flying in close family members and friends, or keeping the wedding open if people want to pay their own way. As you will discover, destination weddings have a number of advantages.

For starters, combining the wedding and honeymoon into one location is a great way of saving money. In addition to the happy couple flying off to their desired destination, family and friends have the chance to enjoy a mini, or extended vacation. Keep in mind, the majority of destination weddings are intimate, including just a few people. In fact, some couples enjoying a destination wedding held on the beach may discover that a number of the guests are unknown, making the event even more memorable.

If you believe a destination wedding sounds like something of interest, the first decision would be whether becoming married in an warm climate or somewhere picturesque, like on a snow-covered mountain. One of the favorite destinations is the beautiful and exotic Caribbean Islands. There, a bride and groom could choose a quaint church wedding or don bathing suits to exchange the “I Do’s” underneath a palm tree swaying gently in the breeze.

For a colder climate, couples could still go with a small, traditional church wedding or dress in skiwear, hit the slopes, and exchange vows at the top of a run. Obviously, your choice of wedding destination depends largely on the time of year you plan to wed, as well as the type of honeymoon you want to experience. However, because you have literally thousands of destinations from which to choose, you could become husband and wife anytime of the year, and on any continent of choice.

Once you have settled on a general area, the fun part of planning begins. Now, since travel would be involved, we recommend you begin planning a minimum of six months in advance. This way, you would have the opportunity to book great flight, hotel, and car deals. One of the best ways to enjoy a destination wedding is by going somewhere off-season. For instance, if you wanted to head to the Ozarks of Missouri, a place that is typically enjoyed during the summer due to the vast lake, this part of the country is also gorgeous in the fall when the leaves are changing. Since the fall is considered off-peak, prices go down!

If you have decided to plan a Caribbean wedding, be sure you factor in travel costs, as well as exchange rates. In addition, trying to plan a wedding in another country could be challenging. Therefore, instead of trying to locate a minister, church, cake maker, photographer, musician, and so on, check the local resorts, which often provide great wedding packages. Typically, a local wedding planner works for the resort, doing the majority, if not all of the legwork for you. With this, you set the date, show up, and simply enjoy the festivities. Another huge advantage of using a wedding planner through a resort is that any language barrier is eliminated.

In summary, destination weddings can be a beautiful start to a lifetime of joy with your future spouse. If planned properly, they can even be stress-free, or close to it! With the many advantages that destination weddings offer, it’s little wonder they have become such a hot trend in weddings today!
