Although it is the photographer who has the greatest influence in the creation of an excellent photographic wedding collection, the location also has a dramatic impact. A wedding at Wilson Creek Winery in Temecula is a beautiful location for shooting a wedding and if shot correctly will contribute to a memorable wedding album.

The Vineyards are of course the attribute that sets this wedding location apart from other wedding location. When shooting in this location a photographer should use the natural, earthy, fresh backgrounds that this location permits. When shooting the actual ceremony, a photographer can get a variety of stunning shots by standing at the back of the ceremony location. Those in attendance sit in rows of chairs at the same level as where the ceremony takes place. The photographer, from behind those in attendance can climb to a higher point.  From this point of view, a photographer can get a shot of the entire ceremony with miles of rolling vine covered hills in the background. Of course a photographer needs to get close-up shots as well. Both objectives can be accomplished if one photographer shoots from the back with both a wide angle and a telephoto lens and another assistant is placed under the white gazebo where there the ceremony takes place.

One great place to take pictures of the bride is at the top of a couple flights of stairs of the lobby. There is a 19th century style black railing that goes around the hallway of the top floor of the lobby. A black and white or sepia shot of the bride against this railing creates an attractive retro look that will work well in a number of styles of albums.

Another location which is fun to shoot in is within the vineyards themselves. A picture the bride and groom framed with branches and grapes in the foreground with the couple centered between the branches in the background so that it looks as though the camera is peeking in on them as they gaze into each others eyes is another favorite shot available at this location.

Temecula has a number of beautiful locations for shooting a wedding. The Wilson Creek Winery if shot correctly will contribute much to any wedding album.

Planning a wedding has never been more exciting. Today’s weddings aren’t what they used to be as many extra avenues are now open to more people than there once was. Inexpensive travel, cheaper hotel rates, and access to once remote locations can make that special occasion one to remember.

Adventure and excitement for your wedding day may sound romantic, but there are more things to consider when planning a wedding. Location will more then likely be one of the most important decisions to make. If planning a wedding halfway across the world, will it be a place that friends and family will be able to have access to? Some people have held weddings while sky diving from an airplane. This may once again seem adventurous, but is it a place where your grandmother and grandfather will be able to share in the festivities? So, an important factor when doing your destination wedding planning is to consider the people that you would like to be there. If it’s important for the grandparents to attend, it may be better to save the sky diving for the honeymoon, or save it for a pre or post wedding event. If you’re unsure of where you would want your wedding to be, or if you’re unsure about what is available in a certain area, you can check out a wedding planning web site. There are many out there and their sole purpose is to provide you with information to help plan your wedding.

Once a suitable location is selected that caters to the needs of the bride, groom, and guests it is time for the wedding event planning. Wedding events can be catering, music, transportation and other activities. If you are having a wedding in a new location or you’re just not familiar with what may be available in your native area you may wish to consult some wedding planning guides. These can be lists available off the internet, out of a phone book, or you may wish to consult a professional wedding planner in the chosen area. A wedding planner can also help with travel plans, hotel bookings, and handling any odds and ends that may need to be addressed. Remember to try and plan events that everyone can enjoy to help make that special day memorable for everyone.

No wedding planning would be complete without those wedding vows. Some people still choose to write their own vows while others simply go with the more traditional vows. Wedding vows planning can be an important part of the wedding adding or taking away intimacy from the event. A favorite poem or simple words of commitment, respect, and love can be shared and can make all the difference in the ceremony.

Wedding planning can take time and a lot of effort. It’s important to realize the experience you wish to create and make sure that everything remains affordable at the same time. Keeping guests in mind whilst planning can save time and money and also ensure that a full list of guests attend. If however you are looking for that romantic get away for two, there are many non traditional paths to take as well. The important part when planning your wedding is to make sure that the bride and groom are happy with their decisions and that they make them together.

Aside from the photographer, the wedding location is the most important factor determining the look, feel and quality of your wedding portraits. Popular Laguna Beach Wedding Locations, Tivoli and Seven-Deegres, both have some drawbacks and some attractions for producing stunning wedding photography.

Tivoli

Tivoli is on the beach. The obvious advantage to this is you can get a variety of beautiful beach shots. However, if you look at beach pictures that have been taken in this location, you will notice that many of the shots have distracting beach houses in the background. Unless that doesn’t bother you, plan with your photographer to take pictures facing the water rather than with the rocks (and houses) in the background. Aside from this minor house distraction, Tivoli provides a variety of natural looking outdoor background and settings. There are rocky cliffs, ocean vistas, wooded areas and buildings with old European designs.

Some of the Tivoli reception centers are designed with an outdoor theme in mind. While this provides the potential for great natural lighting, if the whether turns cold or starts to rain, much of the photographic attraction to this location – the beautiful outdoor scenery could be nullified as it may be too cold or wet to venture outdoors. However, if it does rain, there are still some beautiful arches, doors and buildings against which to take your wedding pictures. Indoors, there is a beautiful black grand piano in the middle of a large room. A creative and artistic shot that various photographers have used with this piano is to have the bride lie down on the piano and take a shot of her from above. The black piano against the white wedding dress and the curve of the piano constrasted with a properly positioned bride creates a beautiful memorable artistic shot. So, while the real Tivoli photographic gem is the out door potential, there are some great indoor shots to be had.

One indirect photography consideration of Tivoli is the cost. Some packages cost $11,000+ for 100 guests. This could cause a bride to need to scale back on her photography budget in order to pay for the location.

Seven Degrees

Seven Degrees is a popular Laguna Beach wedding location with a modern look and feel. If this is the look that you desire, you will be happy with the number, quality and variety of modern and angular backgrounds. There are indoor areas that have large windows which provide excellent natural lighting. In addition, the location provides a large variety of high quality artificial lighting. This allows opportunities for creative filter and exposure work.

The potential disadvantage of this location is the lack of diversity in the genra. Seven Degrees is not on the beach. Thus, beach shots are not easily available- a significant disadvantage for many who choose to have their wedding in Laguna Beach because of the beach. Like Tivoli another disadvantage is cost. Although the prices are not posted and subject to change, the cost can be significant. Again this can limit the amount of money available for photography.

Laguna Beach is a beautiful city with temperate whether and many lovely wedding locations. Outside of the photographer you choose, nothing influences the style, variety and quality of your wedding pictures as much as the wedding venue. Taking the time to evaluate the locations based on their photography potential can help ensure you get the captured photographic memories you can treasure for a lifetime.

Some might find this hard to believe, but planning a cheap wedding is quite easy to do. It’s also great fun and can be really unique and creative too! So if you’re planning a cheap wedding in the future, here are some great tips and ideas for you…

1. Cheap Wedding Locations. Planning a cheap wedding location is not impossible. In fact, you can have wedding ceremonies in a variety of places that are completely free. The local park is a great example. There’s usually no cost to go to a public park, and planning a cheap wedding ceremony there doesn’t usually require any permits or other fees either. Double check with your local city authorities just to be sure first of course.

The Beach is another free place to have a wedding ceremony, as is many churches for that matter. Other ideas include: Having your ceremony at a family member’s home, or having the ceremony in your own back yard. If the wedding couple loves nature, it may be free or very inexpensive to have the wedding ceremony at a local zoo, nature reserve, or flower conservatory too.

2. Cheap Wedding Receptions. Planning a low cost wedding reception is not too difficult either. One way to keep the reception super cheap is to make it a pot luck meal. You can have the guests each bring their own dish, and this could be requested in place of having them buy you wedding presents if you’d like.

If you’d rather not ask guests to bring food for your wedding reception, then ask a few family members to get together and cook the food as a wedding gift to you.

Planning a cheap wedding reception should also involve choosing cheap or free locations for the reception too. Try to make the wedding reception co-incide with the ceremony in some way. If you plan to have your wedding ceremony in the gazebo at the park for instance, then plan for the reception to be a barbecue or picnic style event in that same park.

Another easy and cheap example of course, is if you have the wedding ceremony in your home. Then you can plan to have the reception in your home as well, or out in the backyard if the weather is nice. If you’re planning a cheap wedding on the beach, an excellent reception idea is to have a beach party afterwards… bonfire and all.

3. Cheap Wedding Decorations. When planning a cheap wedding you’ll of course need to keep the cost of decorations down as much as possible. You don’t have to go without them completely though, you just need to improvise.

Instead of buying expensive flowers for instance, try decorating with balloons and streamers instead. Go to a local craft or fabric store and buy a few spools of pretty ribbon, then tie the balloons together with strips of the ribbon done up in a bow. Also tie the ribbons into bows themselves, then tape the ribbon bows around for decorations by themselves.

Another idea for creating inexpensive table decorations is to simply collect some pretty rocks. Wash them clean, then arrange them creatively on tables or other surfaces. You could even paint the rocks to match your desired wedding color theme.

Here’s a great idea if you’re planning a low cost wedding that will have an outdoor, picnic or barbecue style reception: buy pretty paper plates and napkins instead of using expensive china dishes.

As you can see with just these few ideas, planning a cheap wedding can actually be a lot of fun!

Before a couple can truly begin planning their wedding, they must decide on a wedding location or at minimum narrow it down to a couple of venues. Attempting to plan a wedding without knowing the location is equivalent to a bride shopping for bridal jewelry without having a wedding dress. When it comes to choosing a wedding location there are many things to consider. There are two questions that you should ask yourself before settling on a wedding venue.

How does the location make you feel? Can you imagine your wedding actually taking place in this location?

If you can answer “yes” to each of these questions then you should definitely consider this particular site for your wedding day. However, if you say “no” to any of these internal questions then you should move on to the next place on the list. A bride is better off getting married at home in her wedding gown and bridal jewelry rather than wasting tons of money on the wrong wedding site.

Before you settle on a wedding location there are a few considerations that must be made.

Size

If you plan to invite 500 people to your wedding you should not choose a wedding location with a maximum capacity of 150. After you have decided on the number of guests that you plan to invite you should research two or three wedding locations that will accommodate that amount of people.

Decor

Most brides have specific color schemes in mind as well as ideas for decorations. Unfortunately, some churches do not allow extravagant accessories such as overly elaborate bridal jewelry, flowers, or decorations. As such, if you have your heart set on these things then you need to consider places that will allow it.

Lighting

Another factor to consider when searching for a location for your wedding is lighting. If you desire a bright and vibrant ambiance to reflect the glow in your eyes, the sparkle in your bridal jewelry, and the hue in your dress, then consider whether the places on your list will meet your needs. It would be in your best interest to visit each location at the time of day in which your wedding will take place. This will give you the opportunity to test the waters before you make a final decision.

The above suggestions are important topics to think about and should not be taken lightly. Just as you might debate for hours or weeks over what bridal jewelry looks best with your wedding dress, you should give your wedding location the same consideration.

The marriage ceremony is where a couple unites to become one. Choosing the location for this event would seem a simple task, but it is an event that requires thorough planning and coordination especially if a unique ceremony is being planned.

Many couples will hold the wedding ceremony at a house of worship, usually a place that the bride, the groom, or some other family member attends. But what happens when the bride- and groom-to-be are of different denominations? This situation can be even more complicated if the couple have no religious affiliations.

It is at this point that the couple needs to communicate with each other about their wedding ceremony location options. There are many options to choose from. But the selection for the location of the ceremony should take place at least 12 months in advance. Waiting too long to make reservations for the location you choose could be a disappointment when you find that the place is already booked.

If you want to look at other places besides a place of worship wedding service locations can be almost anywhere- at home, at a country or yacht club, outdoors at a local, national or state park, on a yacht, on a tropical island, at a mountaintop retreat, in a medieval castle, at Disney World

Prior to making your location selection however, you’ve got to make sure it’ll accommodate your requirements.

The rate for the location for the wedding ceremony will vary from place to place. If you are researching the rates of various locations, clearly ask what is built-in to the rate. Confirm that the items mentioned are written out on the contract, also. Most locations will require a deposit to reserve the location for your specific date. This needs to be reflected on the contract in addition to the balance amount and due date.

Although choosing the site for the wedding ceremony is very important, there are additional parts that need to be well thought out. Special attention must also be given to the songs that will be played during the ceremony and the vows that the bride and groom will exchange. This is especially important if your desire is to separate from the traditional way of doing things. Some locations include the music as part of the package. Churches have been known to offer the services of their own musicians though there could be an additional cost. For a truly unique wedding ceremony, if it is in your budget, why not write your own wedding songs and hire a small band to perform them during the wedding ceremony Or you can hire musicians to tie in with the theme of your wedding. What ever direction you decide to take, make sure that you reserve the musicians as far in advance as possible. That will ensure that you will not have any unexpected surprises close to your wedding date.

Writing your own vows can make your wedding service very special. If writing your vows is difficult try changing the words of traditional vows. This puts a truly personal touch on the event. Just be sure to give a copy of your version of the vows to the person officiating so that everyone is on the same page.

A destination wedding is a great way to have a memorable wedding. Most people plan to have their purpose weddings in exotic surroundings like Hawaii, Caribbean on one of the Pacific islands. A destination wedding is a creative romantic way of celebrating with family and friends the start of a new life together. In effect, there are companies and wedding houses that have come up that cater for couples wishing to experience the delight of purpose weddings. The lure of tropical destinations in villa-like locations surrounded breathtaking mountain and ocean views make these paradise-like surroundings popular destinations. The options available for a destination wedding are many.

Since a destination wedding involves traveling a distance away from home for both the couple and the guests, they require enough time to plan. It will also mean doing a lot of research to ensure the destination is just right for all. Most exotic weddings also require one to do business in the local way as well as fulfilling the legal requirements of the country where the wedding is planned to take place. Formerly reserved for the ultra-rich and a domain of celebrities, target weddings have in recent years become more and more accessible to many couples. In fact, a properly planned destination wedding can save one upwards of $20,000 compared to a traditional wedding. Even at these prices, the options are many. These types of weddings are like mini-vacations for all invited guests. This is because the wedding usually takes a couple of days in a foreign exotic location. Usually, the wedding location is shaped by one’s personal taste and the cost to be incurred.

It is also important to consider the time of the year. It would be most unfortunate if a planned destination wedding were done during a hurricane season. One of the best ways to ensure that both the time and location are well catered for is to hire a wedding coordinator. A wedding coordinator will make sure all the long-distance arrangements are taken care of and will arrange activities to be enjoyed during the wedding stay. One of the best ways to have a destination wedding that is not only cost-effective but also exhilarating, is to hire a cruise ship. Cruise ships allow guests to avoid the extra expenses and time needed to have passports and government IDs. Traveling to destinations in Mexico, Caribbean or Canada will require all in attendance to have all these requirements, which may take some time to clear. With cruise ships and a good advance notice, one is not obligated to pay for these requirements. Cruise ships will even arrange to have the wedding take place while the ship is in port in a local restaurant or on deck.

To further cut down on requirements and paperwork from a foreign government expected of couples getting married, some couple decide to quietly get married while the United States and simply re-enact the ceremony in their planned destination. With careful planning and forethought, planning a destination wedding is both possible and exciting.

Destination weddings have become more and more popular and for good reason. Getting married in an exotic locale is a dream come true for many couples.

Maybe your destination is somewhere very special for you and your loved one. Or maybe it’s just someplace you’ve always dreamed of visiting. Whatever your reason, if both of you have your heart set on it, then go for it. One of the nice things about destination weddings is that they can be very affordable, depending on the location and the number of guests you invite. So whatever your budget, most likely you can pull it off.

Booking Your Location

Once you’ve decided that a destination wedding is for you, it’s important to begin planning. You’ll want to book your location as soon as possible, as you would for a traditional wedding. But unlike planning for a traditional wedding, you may not have as much control, since your wedding location isn’t nearby.

In this case, you’ll have to be willing to rely on others, like family members or friends who are closer to the destination to make some decisions for you. You may be fortunate enough to make a trip or two to your destination prior to the wedding, but if you can’t, choose people you know and trust and delegate responsibility to them, even though all final decisions will be yours.

Choosing Your Invitations

After you’ve settled on your location, it’s time to invite your guests. As with any wedding, your invitations are important because they set the stage for your wedding’s theme. Think how excited your guests will be when they receive an invitation to your destination wedding!

Guest Accommodations and Expenses

As you plan your destination wedding, keep in mind that you may be asking your guests to travel a great distance. Since guests are responsible for paying for their own travel and hotel expenses as well as any other expenses normally incurred with a wedding, you should do some advance scouting for them regarding airfare and hotel accommodations. Often, you can reserve a block of rooms at a discounted rate as well as alert them to any deals with airlines.

The cost of the wedding itself falls upon the couple or the couple’s families, just as it would for a traditional wedding. Because guests usually arrive a day or two before the wedding, you might want to plan an additional dinner or activity to include them. The couple would absorb any of these costs.

The Honeymoon

Another benefit of a destination wedding is that newlyweds can honeymoon at their destination wedding location. This alleviates additional travel and hotel expenses. Likewise, guests have the option of extending their stay and enjoying a mini-vacation for themselves. Everybody wins at a destination wedding!

Depending on how many guests attended the wedding, many couples host a party after their destination wedding or mail announcements to those who didn’t attend. Typically, these celebrations allow friends and family the opportunity to congratulate the newly married couple. Gifts are not required, but it’s not unusual for some guests to bring them anyways.

More Planning Tips

So after reading this, do you think a destination wedding is right for you? As with planning any wedding, there are endless details to consider. Although this article touched upon many of the basic points of destination wedding planning, there is much, much more.

With that in mind, I’ve included the following Web site links to help you perform further research. Each one has a wealth of information about destination weddings so you’ll be sure to get every question you have answered.

Enjoy the process and have a beautiful wedding!

Where Will You Wed: Selecting a Wedding Location

Prince Charming proposed, and you accepted. Congratulations! When you share your news with friends and family, immediately after congratulating you and your betrothed, they will ask these two questions: When are you going to get married? And where are you going to get married?

It makes a lot more sense to address selecting a wedding location first because weather changes dramatically between the seasons in most places, and once you choose a location, you can then pick the best season to wed there. A good place to start your search is by thinking about the majority of the guests that you will invite. Do they all live within a 10-mile radius of your hometown? If so, you might want to consider having the wedding close by, so that all your friends and family won’t have to shell out big buckaroos to travel to your wedding location.

What if you live a greater distance from most of your family and friends? Perhaps start by thinking about the feasibility of those you care about traveling to your neck of the woods. Can Grandma fly four hours to attend a wedding on the west coast? Will your high school friends be able to spend the money on flights, and have funds left for accommodations, not to mention a wedding gift for you? If many of your guests won’t be able to make it to your wedding location, and they all live generally close to one another, you might decide to go ahead and have the hometown ceremony after all.

If you are not marrying your high school sweetheart, it is much more likely that there will be a great deal of variance in terms of where your guests live. In that case, when you are selecting a wedding location, you can consider getting married in a wedding location that has some special significance for you and your sweetie. For instance, maybe you met during college. In that case, the perfect location for you could be the chapel at your alma mater. Or maybe you met your sweetie at the beach, or are both beach lovers. Your dream wedding location could be to wed on a beach. If you are both avid golfers, the best wedding location could be at the ninth hole on a scenic golf course. If you enjoy skiing, consider getting married at a ski lodge, overlooking the mountain.

There is something very special about a destination wedding, as everyone gets to take a min-vacation to someplace they might not ordinarily visit. If you choose a destination wedding for your wedding location, it is customary to provide your guests with some ideas and tips about fun things to do at or near your wedding location. You can even consider sending out this information a few weeks or months ahead of time to assist your guests in their planning process.

Whatever wedding location you choose, consider what season you are most likely to have the best weather. If possible, go ahead and schedule your wedding for that time of year. And enjoy all your wedding location has to offer!
