I heard that the wedding ring should just be a simple ‘band’, but can it have a small diamond in it ?

And, can a couple just skip the whole engagement ring step ?

i know the meaning of course…what i don’t know is in appearance, i mean, does the other one need a decoration or something? or just plain? and i heard in some countries the engagement and wedding ring is just the same..

Okay so the getting engaged part is out of the way.. so now what do i do? We want to wait a little while before we actually marry, but like what kind of like paper work and plans and such should we do????? okay and a dumb question Is the engagement ring the same as your wedding ring?

Does the wedding ring have to be more expensive than the engagement one? I am not a christian , and marriages are done differently….I want to know.

Is the engagement ring the one with the diamond and then you get a band when you get married? Or do you get an engagement ring then stop wearing it to wear the wedding ring when you get the wedding ring?

I am engaged and I have an engagement ring. I do not like the way it looks with a band against it. Do I just use it as my wedding ring or do I get a new ring. All of the rings I like are labeled engagement and not wedding. What is the difference? Does it matter? Am I supposed to get a ring with a band because I do not like hardly any of those. Please do not just tell me to do whatever I want. I want to know the difference. Thank you.

My boyfriend and I decided to get marry next month nothing big but the sooner the better. I have no idea what the rules about the rings are. Is he suppose to buy me an engagement ring and then a wedding ring or can you buy them as a pair and just wear one until you’re marry or do you need to have an engagement ring and buy a separate one to get married. as in appearance? because i found an engagement ring i like but my friend says its a wedding ring. i cant tell by the website though. its a three stone ring. is it a wedding ring or engagement ring? or can it be both?

I am not talking every now and again, but how many women do you think always wear their engagement ring along with their wedding ring?

I know my mother only wore her engagement ring when going out and what not, and wore her wedding ring other rise.

After the guy proposes does the couple go and find the guys’ ring together or does the woman go by herself and show him at the alter?

And what is the difference between an engagement ring and a wedding ring? Would you buy an engagement ring, she wears it during the time they are finances, and then he purchases a "wedding" ring?….
