I am planning to propose to my girlfriend in Dec sometime and I need some advice. What do you think would be a good/sweet/romantic way to propose to someone. Please no rude or immature comments or answers.

Romance is different to everyone. Personally I think it’s cheesy to put the ring in a box and put it under the Christmas tree, while others think it’s cute and romantic. You need to decide what your girlfriend would find romantic and start from there. Then you need to decide if she’s the kind of girl who likes big public proposals or not and start planning.
For me, I think it’s best to share a private moment some place special and propose then. My fiance took me to Key West for the weekend which is our favorite weekend getaway. The 2nd evening there we took a walk on the beach at sunset. We wandered out onto a pier and at the end we stood for a moment admiring the beautiful view. Then he got down on his knee and proposed. It was the most perfect proposal I could imagine.
Think about what makes her happy and go from there.

It’s always a good idea to propose while on vacation together. I have friends getting married soon and they both proposed to the girlfriends while on vacation. One in Barcelona and the other one in Venice.
As for the proposel itself, the usual goes down well with most girls.

The simplier the better when it comes to proposing. Keep it sweet and private – just the two of you, and I think at home is best – somewhere where both people are comfortable and relaxed, and where you can really tell her how you feel.
Whatever you end up doing, best wishes!!

Thumbs up for the lady who said at home. I agree, it would be so unexpected, you could plan a nice cozy evening together at home and treat her like a queen, getting down on one knee is the best and most classiest way. Have a celebration cake in the fridge if/when she says yes and you get dressed up that evening for her. SHow her what kind of husband you can be by being in your own environment.
