It’s up to you, as long as you keep the hand bare which will be receiving the wedding band. I wore my engagement ring on my other hand, but you could wear it on a chain, or not have it that day at all. After the ceremony, I moved the engagement ring on top of the wedding band.

You do not wear your engagement ring for the wedding ceremony, what you can do, is have your Fiance keep it in his pocket, and after the ceremony when you get a second (like in the Limo to the reception, have him give it back to you)
Leave the wedding ring on then put the engagment ring back on.

wear it on your other hand just before you go down the aisle – switch it back during your reception

either wear it on the other hand, or have your fiance put it on your finger after the wedding ring

usually you give it to whoever holds the rings. (ring bearer or best man). then the groom will slip it on your finger at the same time as the wedding band.
also, you have the choice of which way its placed. some put the engagement ring closer to your knuckle, since it was actually put on your finger "first". but many women wear it the other way around so that the wedding band itself is closer to their heart.
I added that because it was new information on me, and I am learning alot now that I am planning my own wedding. turns out I was absolutely clueless about most things! lol

If it will fit, wear it on your other hand until after the ceremony, than put it back on your left hand with the wedding band, which, by the way goes on first to stay closest to your heart. If this doesn’t appeal to you or it doesn’t fit (lots of people wear different sizes on the other hand) have your maid of honor carry it for you and return it to you right after the ceremony. If you are still worried about it, leave it at home in your jewelry box. I wouldn’t recommend having the groom carry it as he will be doing well to be able to hang on to the wedding band and get it on the correct finger without a fumble and doesn’t need the added stress!

You keep it on. During the ring ceremony, you want both rings on the pictures. Let him put the wedding band on during the wedding. Right after the wedding, switch the rings around. The wedding band should be closest to your heart.

The engagement ring is removed and only put back after the ceremony, you can wear it on the other hand it is solely up to you, or your husband to be can put the two rings on together

I wore mine on the other hand, but there are lots of ways to do it. One friend of mine gave it to her Maid of Honor to keep until after the ceremony, another gave hers to her mother to hold, and another just didn’t wear it

Before the Bride walks "down the aisle" the engagement ring is moved to the right hand, fourth finger. After the wedding ceremony the engagement ring is moved back to the left hand. The correct way to wear the rings is: the wedding ring is worn on the inside, the engagement ring is worn on the outside. You are supposed to wear your engagment ring on your ring finger on your LEFT hand. That is to allow the wedding band be slipped on first then the engagment ring.

Sometimes the bride will wear the engagement ring on her right hand until the wedding band is placed on her finger and then she moves the engagement ring back to the left hand. I prefer to wear mine on the left hand and to remove it as he places the wedding band on my hand and then put my engagement ring back on.
